I’m Altin Mero — born in Albania, raised in Greece, and shaped by kitchens around the world. My cooking style is biomatic: a personal expression influenced by Mediterranean roots, Scandinavian purity, and bold Asian flavors.
I’ve honed my craft in some of the world’s most respected restaurants — Frantzén, Jordnær, Maison Pic, Noma, and The Jane. Each stop shaped the way I cook, but it’s seasonal ingredients that continue to inspire me most.
In 2025, I’m opening my own restaurant — MERO — in the heart of Antwerp. It’s a space where familiar flavors meet new ideas, and where every dish tells a story.
